Environmental Science Masters Programs

Environmental science is an interdisciplinary field of study that explores multiple dimensions of environmental issues. According to the Princeton Review, environmental-science programs tend to concentrate on general scientific principles and analysis, rather than specific applications as in environmental engineering. The Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that the demand for environmental scientists will grow much faster than average in the next decade. There are several graduate programs focused on training professionals to meet this demand.
  1. School of Sustainability, Arizona State University

    • Established in 2007, the School of Sustainability is the first institution in the United States to offer degrees in sustainability science. With a transdisciplinary research program that aims to provide practical and applicable solutions to environmental, economic and social problems generated by environmental degradation, the School of Sustainability is a leader in environmental studies.
