Established in 2007, the School of Sustainability is the first institution in the United States to offer degrees in sustainability science. The College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) has developed from one of the oldest forestry schools in the nation. With over 25,000 acres of field study locations in central New York and the Adirondacks, ESF provides practical, hands-on graduate education and offers masters degrees in environmental-science subfields such as environmental and forest chemistry. The school has a longstanding relationship with Syracuse University, allowing students to take advantage of resources at that school as well.
