The mental health-counseling program prepares students for work in hospitals, clinics, and private practice, outreach programs, counseling centers and in rehabilitation facilities. The psychology program is designed for students wishing to have an extensive psychology background, which will enable them to work in a variety of specialties. The neurobehavioral studies program enables students to concentrate on brain disorders.
The Graduate School of Jewish Studies, on the eighth Floor at 43 West 23rd Street, offers a Master of Arts degree in Jewish Studies that is designed to help students develop a meaningful understanding of Judaism and a wide-ranging foundation for continued study in a Judaica doctorate program.
Touro's Graduate School of Social Work, also located at 43 West 23rd Street, is geared toward students wishing to practice social work in an urban clinical setting, working with multicultural and disadvantaged communities. The two-year, 65-credit, Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program is accessible to students at either the Brooklyn or Manhattan Touro College's extension sites. Students are required to complete two fieldwork study courses in the first two semesters of the program, and later two more in the clinical practice, advanced concentration segment.
