Dental Hygienist Training Programs

The career options for a student who would like to become a dental hygienist have expanded from just private dentistry to include opportunities in research facilities, schools, hospitals and even office management with companies providing dental-related materials and sales. After receiving either an associate or baccalaureate degree from an accredited dental hygiene program, you must then pass both the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and possibly some additional exams which vary from state to state. Many dental hygiene students are opting for programs that offer a bachelor's degree to widen the opportunities for future employment.
