The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors (GNAR) provides Middle Tennessee real estate agents with the opportunity to network with one another while attending membership events and participating in continuing education courses. The association has been in the business of providing services to real estate agents for more than 100 years. The GNAR combines classroom and distance education opportunities to meet all of its members' specific needs. Continuing education courses include Office and Brokerage Management, Effective Sales Strategies, Home Staging, Marketing Techniques, Foreclosures and Short Sales, Home Pricing and Ethics in Real Estate. The Tennessee Real Estate Commission approves of all GNAR courses as continuing education credits.

Tennessee Real Estate Education System (TREES) is the oldest and largest real estate school in Tennessee. TREES offers training for real estate agents in the fields of appraisal and home inspection, as well as providing the necessary educational requirements to become a licensed real estate agent. Courses are available both in person and online, and TREES boasts a 91 percent passing rate on state licensing exams. Students at TREES have the ability to take the required courses to obtain a real estate license and also have the option to take continuing education courses in fields such as short sales and foreclosures, broker licensing, new affiliate training, buyer representation, environmental issues and property management. TREES courses have approval from the Tennessee Real Estate Commission.

The Nashville Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management offers both state and national courses for real estate agents interested in continuing education. Courses are taught in a classroom setting, as well as online and through educational seminars and all courses at the Institute of Real Estate Management have approval of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission. Educational opportunities include the fields of site management, investment real estate, marketing, fair housing and real estate ethics. The Institute also offers the opportunity to obtain designations in Certified Property Management, Accredited Residential Management and Accredited Management Organization.
