The University of British Columbia offers both a Master of Arts degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree program in psychology. Both options are delivered on campus and the master's degree option requires the completion of a thesis. Both degree options require a full time schedule of study and students can complete both programs in four years. Sometimes, however, it takes students five or six years to complete both options. The University of British Columbia has seven areas of study in psychology such as behavioral neuroscience, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, health psychology, cognitive science, social/personality and quantitative methods.
