Metropolitan Community College has three locations in Kansas City. The Maple Woods campus of Metropolitan Community College is situated in the Northland area of Kansas City. Maple Woods is close to some of Kansas City's major shopping areas, including Zona Rosa and Briarcliff Village. This campus has a strong general education program to help students transition to a four-year college. Maple Woods is home to 5,400 students pursuing associate's degrees in music, education, veterinary technology, psychology, computer science and more. Maple Woods also hosts its own baseball, softball and soccer teams. Credit classes are available at a cost of $82 to $195 an hour.

The main campus and the Pioneer campus are both found near downtown Kansas City and close to the popular Westport and County Club Plaza areas. Penn Valley has a student population of 6,000 students. The main campus includes a Health Science Institute with real-life simulation stations for students pursuing nursing and other health-related associate's degrees. Penn Valley also hosts an on-campus art gallery for students interested in its art programs. Credit classes are available at a cost of $82 to $195 an hour.
Pinnacle Career Institute has two locations in Kansas City. The South Kansas City campus is near the Kansas Speedway, Kansas City Zoo, and many museums like the American Jazz Museum and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. The North Kansas City campus was built in 2008 and is close to the Kansas City airport. Pinnacle is a technical school offering programs in wind-turbine technology, massage therapy, personal training, health information technology, medical assistance, electronics, HVAC and information technology. Some of the programs can also be completed online. Financial aid programs are available for qualified applicants.
Concorde Career College has locations throughout the United States, including one near the Country Club Plaza area of Kansas City. The college offers associate's degrees in the health and medical field. Students can pursue careers as a dental assistant, insurance coding and billing specialist, medical assistant, physical therapy assistant, respiratory therapist, occupational therapy assistant, healthinformation technologist, registered nurse or practical nurse. Financial aid is available through federal programs.
