How to Register for BOCES

The Board of Cooperative Educational Services is a program specific to New York state that offers adult educational programs and works with school districts to provide alternative instruction for students. BOCES offers high school GED, vocational and adult continuing education services and classes. Different counties offer various ways of registering, with walk-in and phone registration options available at most locations and online applications provided by some counties. You can conduct research on courses, schedules, fees and registration by reading information on your local BOCES website.

      Go to the official BOCES of New York website. Scroll over the "Services" option. Click "Regional Information Centers" from the drop-down menu. On the next page click "RIC in Your Area" to access a map of New York state regional BOCES offices.

      Move over the red dots on the map to find the regional BOCES office that serves your county and school district. Click "Website" to access course schedule links and registration information specific to your area BOCES. Click "Contact Us" to find the address, phone number and email address of your local BOCES.

      Go to your local BOCES registration office to register and pay for classes in person. Call your local BOCES to register over the phone and pay with a credit card. Fill out the registration form provided on the website and send it with your payment to the indicated address or register and pay online through the BOCES website, if available.
