Review admission and registration information. Look for registration requirements for the type of program you wish to enter. For example, registration requirements for credit programs may be different than non-credit programs. Not all online courses carry credits, so check the schedule of online courses before registering.
Register early or as close to the beginning of the registration period as possible. Many online courses fill fast.
Check for scheduling conflicts. Be sure you can meet semester start and end dates and have no conflicts for exam periods.
Complete a registration form. Enter the class number, section number for the course, the department number and course number. Find course information in the schedule of online courses.
Purchase your textbook(s) early. Allow sufficient time for the school to mail a University issued ID and course materials.
