Students from all over the country can apply for this program as you do not have to be a resident of Kansas. To be accepted into the program a minimum grade point average of 2.5 is required from all colleges and universities attended, as well as a current RN license in the U.S. The deadline to register for the fall semester is June 1, spring semester is October 1 and summer semester is March 1.
Jacksonville University, located in Jacksonville, Fla., offers an online nursing program that will allow students to obtain their Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree. To graduate from the program you will need to successfully complete 121 credits. A total of 33 nursing hours are required with courses such as "Dimensions of Professional Nursing Practice" and "Physiological Adaptation to Illness." Full time students can complete the program in at least two years. To apply for the program you are required to mail in a copy of your active nursing license, transcripts from all schools you have attended with a minimum of a C or better in general education courses and a copy of your government-issued ID.
Located in Philadelphia, Pa., Drexel University offers an accredited online program for registered nurses. Students enrolled in the program must take at least 12 credits per term. Courses runs for 10 weeks. The RN to BSN program is sectioned into three tiers with classes such as humanities, anatomy and physiology, economics and ethics. To be accepted into this program you must have at grade point average of 2.5 or above, a current RN license, official transcripts from colleges that you attended and copies of any national exams you may have taken.
The University of Saint Mary, located in Kansas, offers an accredited online degree program for nurses interested in obtaining their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). If taken full time, the program is geared to be completed in two years. Part-time students can complete the program in three years. To graduate from the program you will need 128 credit hours and a minimum passing grade of a C. If you fail any course twice you will be dismissed from the program. Admission requirements include a current RN license in the U.S., official transcripts from an accredited college or university, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement and a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.
