Online Nurse Practitioner Degrees

A nurse practitioner is a nurse who has undergone extra education and training in order to develop her skills to the point where she is able to handle many aspects of patient care without the direct presence of a doctor. This career offers you more employment opportunities, a higher salary potential, and a career that is in steady demand. If you already have a busy life, finding a school that offers training as a nurse practitioner through online courses can mean the difference between being able to step up to the next level or not.
  1. Felician College

    • The post-master's certificate program at Felician is offered to registered nurses who already have a master of science in nursing (MSN) degree. The emphasis of this program is on nursing care for families or adults. When you complete this program, you will be eligible to take the National Certification advanced practice exam in either family or adult health. Passing the exam qualifies you to be certified as a nurse practitioner. Entry into this program is available to registered nurses (RNs) who have at least one year of experience and are currently licensed and employed as professional nurses. If you don't have your MSN you can get it at Felician College and then complete the certification program. Although most of the program is online, you must also work in a clinical setting in order to complete your training.
