Online Speech Pathologist Degrees

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Speech-Language Pathologists diagnose and treat speech disorders. This can include stuttering, inability to pronounce and articulate language, and swallowing problems. These disorders may have many different causes such as brain trauma, deafness or developmental disabilities. Speech Language Therapists must have a Master's degree and be licensed. Licensing requirements vary by state. Obtaining a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology can be done almost entirely online. There are clinical requirements which require the student to spend some time on campus or at an approved medical facility.
