Lawrence Technological University offers a master's in architecture degree program with a concentration in architecture design and practice. All coursework is available online with the exception of a studio class that may be completed in one 10-week semester or through a series of four weekend residencies. Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Three letters of recommendation and a professional portfolio must be submitted. A dual master's in architecture and master's in business administration program is also offered.

The Academy of Art University offers two programs in architecture through online learning. The bachelor of fine arts degree with a major in architecture educates students in both the artistic elements and hands-on professional practice of architectural design, including sustainable and technological solutions. The master of architecture degree provides a shorter track for students who hold an undergraduate degree in architecture and a longer track for students who hold an undergraduate degree in another field. Both programs train students in the visual, technical and physical design of the built environment through coursework and an independent final project.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln offers a master of acience in architecture with a specialization in interior design through online distance learning. This program was rated sixth in the United States by the professional industry magazine "Design Intelligence." Course topics include behavioral and social factors in the built environment, design theory and issues, historic preservation, workplace design, architectural history, contemporary architecture, color theory and research methods. An independent field research project or professional internship is also required.
