Ukraine Medical Colleges

Ukraine is located in the southeastern section of Central Europe and borders Russia, Byelorussia, Moldova, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary and Poland. The country was a former republic of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics but achieved complete independence in 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Higher education in Ukraine follows the structure of education determined by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and other international organizations.     Bukovinian State Medical University

    • Bukovinian State Medical University is located in the core of Chernivtsy-city. The school was founded in 1944. The university is a member of the European Association of Universities and the International Association of Universities. According to the university's website, the school has 36 departments and offers training in dentistry, pediatrics, pharmaceuticals, nursing and more.

    Lugansk State Medical University

    • Lugansk is one of the largest cities in Ukraine. Lugansk State Medical University was founded in 1956 and is one of the oldest medical higher institutions in the country. According to the university's website, the school offers training in pediatrics, dentistry, pharmaceuticals, nursing and other medical concentrations. In total, the school trains students in 172 different medical specialties.

    M. Gorky Donetsk State Medical University

    • Donetsk is a large city in eastern Ukraine. M. Gorky Donetsk State Medical University was originally established in 1933 and was granted the status of university in 1994. According to the university's website, the school provides medical training in almost 77 departments and offers training in general medicine, dentistry, and pharmaceuticals. The school has two scientific research institutes, which are the Institute of Medical Family Problems and Traumatology and Orthopedics.
