Offering a wide range of programs for students from Doctorate of Dental Surgery to an advantage dental program for high school students, the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry prides itself on believing no what what level, students deserve respect along with their education. It is also the only dental college within the United States that offers a year road accelerated three-year Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. There are a number of financial assistance programs available also through the school to assist with the payment of college tuition. The Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry operates in conjunction with the University of the Pacific.

The University of California, San Francisco includes a School of Dentistry. It includes four departments: the Department of Cell and Tissue Biology, the Department of Oral and maxillofacial Surgery, the Department of Orofacial Sciences and the Department of Preventative and Restorative Dental Sciences. Depending on the program of interest tuition and fees, deadlines and application processes themselves may be different. There are a variety of doctorate courses, post graduate programs and even international programs available for students out of the country that wish to attend.

City College of San Francisco is a community college offering a dental assistant program. Students may have the option of choosing a two- or four-semester program depending on prior educational experiences or degrees. Students participate in a 33.5 unit program in which they maintain a 2.0 grade point average to receive their certificate of completion. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the National Certification Examination or the Registered Dental Assistant Exam of California.
