The University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) is the only school of denistry left in Chicago after Northwestern University closed it's program. The specialties that (UIC) offers are Endodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatrics, Periodontics and Prosthodontics. You must have graduated from an accredited university and have taken at least 27 credit hours of science to be considered for admission. A good score on the The Dental Admission Test (DAT) is also required.

Kennedy-King College is one of Chicago's city community colleges. While it does not offer a degree in dentistry, it has a dental-hygiene program. This accredited program teaches students how to clean teeth and gums, take X-rays and educate patients in good oral hygiene.
