Students at Boston University may enter a pre-professional undergraduate program, such as pre-med, where they take any undergraduate major while fulfilling pre-med course requirements. They may also seek admission into the school's early selection program, which provides a seven-year liberal arts/medical education program where both the bachelor's and medical degree are completed together. Boston University offers a premedical and health careers library, plus advisers to help students with the application process and choosing their curriculum.
While on campus, pre-med students may participate in Boston University athletics such as ice hockey, swimming and basketball, as well as take advantage of the fitness centers and aerobics classes. The school also offers a chapel and on-campus clubs. Applicants to the accelerated programs must submit three teacher references; all students must submit a high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores. Students may also be required to interview.
