Cleveland Chiropractic College provides chiropractic training at two locations, Overland Park, Kansas and Los Angeles, California. The chiropractic doctor program requires four years to complete, broken down into 12 academic trimesters. Students without a prior background in health sciences can earn their Bachelor of Science in human biology concurrently with their doctorate in chiropractic medicine. Courses in the program include neuroanatomy, digestive physiology, clinical and laboratory research, toxicology and various hands-on chiropractic techniques.

Life University offers a chiropractic medicine program with participants from every state in the union and over 30 foreign countries. Class sizes are small; usually there are no more than 20 students per class. In addition to clinical training in the art of chiropractic medicine, students at Life receive an education in the business of running a clinic. Courses take place both in classrooms and in the university's clinic. Students begin as observers and patients before working up to assisting licensed professionals and then directing clinical treatment.
