How do I Find Dental Schools?

Going to dental school can be a big step for students. Dental school is considered a graduate program, although many schools do not require a bachelor's degree to apply. All dental schools require at least two years of college prior to application. Finding a dental school that fits you can be a challenge, but one worth taking on if you truly want to become a dentist.

Check with the American Dental Association's Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). CODA maintains and applies the quality standards for dental schools throughout the United States. Speak to your college's guidance department. The purpose of this department is to assist students as they make decisions about their future. The guidance department should have information about local dental schools. If you have already graduated from college, try contacting a nearby college or the college you graduated from for advice on dental school.
