Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) is headquartered in New Jersey, with three branch campuses in Teaneck, Madison and Eatontown. Its paralegal studies program is offered through the Petrocelli College of Continuing Studies, and students can take classes at any of the three campuses. Night classes are offered from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. twice a week, and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students taking the night classes will complete the program in approximately 10 months.

Kennesaw State University's continuing education program runs nearly 2,500 classes per year. Its Paralegal Certificate program has been offered since 1985. To qualify for admission, students must have a high school diploma or GED and be proficient in using the Internet and computers. Night classes are held for each of the 13 required courses and run for three hours once a week for six weeks.

Pennsylvania's Villanova University founded its evening Paralegal Certificate program in 1983. Students can complete the program in one year if they take two courses during each of Villanova's four terms. Class times vary but are generally held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. during the week and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Candidates for admission must have at least a bachelor's degree.
