Los Angeles City College (LACC), located at UCLA's original campus, offers a certified nursing program.
In order to to be admitted to the nursing program, you must first apply to LACC and be accepted. You must also take 12 general education units (a full-time student would finish 12 units in one semester) before applying to the nursing program.
In 2009-2010, LACC cost $26 per credit unit for in-state residents and $188 per credit unit for out-of-state residents.

Los Angeles Harbor College (LAHC), located in Wilmington, has been serving students for more than 60 years.
LAHC does not require any general education courses to become a CNA, but it does require an application to the college itself. You then sign up for the CNA courses and fill out an application along with getting a physical and TB test.

Pierce College currently has more than 100 disciplines you can study for, including a certified nursing program.
In order to join Pierce's nursing program, you must have at least a 2.5 average GPA and no lower than a "C" in the following courses: microbiology, anatomy and physiology. You also must take several general education courses in speech, English, sociology and psychology.
