The University of Texas San Antonio, part of the University of Texas system, has two campus in the city. The sprawling suburban campus and the downtown campus together offer around 150 degree programs and claim to have at least 29,000 students enrolled as of 2013. The Catholic institution of higher education, with a notable social work graduate program, ranks tops in terms of service learning and because of its stated commitment to the advancement of Hispanic students, the predominant demographic in San Antonio. OLLU offers bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as three doctoral programs of study.
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, also part of the University of Texas system and one of the nation's leading health care education institutions, offers initial licensing and advanced degrees in medicine, dentistry, nursing and allied health; the dental school consistently ranks as one of the top in the United States and the world. University of the Incarnate Word, in the ritzy Alamo Heights neighborhood, provides top-ranked nursing and pharmacy education as well as range of bachelor's and master's degree offerings.
