Founded in 1946, Hagerstown Community College is the oldest community college in the state of Maryland. Hagerstown offers more than 110 different programs of study and enrolls more than 15,000 students taking credit and non-credit courses. The college is regionally accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The college consists of nine primary academic divisions that include nursing education, truck driver training, the business division of the behavioral and social sciences, technology and computer studies, physical education and computer studies, math and science, developmental education and adult literacy, health science and English and humanities.
