    • One of California's largest and most successful of its 110 community colleges, San Diego Mesa College offers a wide assortment of classes needed to achieve an occupational certificate or academic or vocational associate's degree. The college holds one of the highest student transfer rates in the state and provides a great educational background for students to continue on with a four-year institution.

    Point Loma Nazarene University

    • Offering both undergraduate and graduate programs to approximately 3,500 students, Point Loma Nazarene University offers stunning ocean views across its 93-acre campus. The admission process is selective for this Christian liberal arts institution. Graduate studies are offered in centers throughout Southern California in theology, nursing, education, biology and business. A high number of graduates who apply to medical school (nearly 80 percent) are accepted--which is nearly twice the national average.

    • With 19 locations throughout the U.S., Argosy University offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees (as well as professional certificates and programs) within its five colleges of psychology and behavioral sciences, education, business, health sciences and undergraduate studies.
