Greeley, Colorado, named after famed newspaper editor Horace Greeley, is located in the northern part of the state and boasts a population of 90,000. The city has miles of hiking and bike trails, numerous parks and outdoor facilities, and a wide variety of restaurants. Greeley is home to three institutions of higher education, Aims Community College, the Institute of Business and Medical Careers and, of course, the well-known University of Northern Colorado.

    • Aims Community College serves three campuses: Greeley, Fort Lupton, and Loveland, and offers weekend, evening, and online courses, in addition to traditional daytime classes. They have more than 160 degree programs, such as accounting, social sciences, communication, electronics, math. Aims also offers both associate's and bachelor's degrees, as well as certification programs and continuing education credits. The cost ranges from $60 per credit hour for residents of the college district, up to over $7,000 for out-of-state students taking a full course load.

    Institute of Business and Medical Careers

    • IBMC offers certificate, diploma, and degree programs on their Greeley campus in the fields of administrative assisting, therapeutic massage, medical assisting, billing and coding, and paralegal studies. The cost to attend IBMC is all-inclusive, per program, starting at $17,500. This means that there is no charge per credit hour as at most colleges and universities, but a flat fee depending upon the choice of program or certification.

    • UNC is a fully accredited state university, located in Greeley, and consists of five colleges plus its graduate school. Bachelor's and master's degrees are offered in such diverse areas of studies as education, health sciences, behavioral studies, business, and performing and visual arts.
