The University of Pittsburgh's (Pitt) education program is one of the top-rated graduate programs in the nation. According to the 2009 rankings by U.S. News & World Report, Pitt's graduate education program ranked in the top-40 nationwide at No. 32. Pitt's graduate degrees in secondary education reflect a broad interdisciplinary approach. The secondary education program within the graduate school is divided according to disciplines. Students may pursue either a master of arts in teaching or a master of education.
