Sentara School is a private college in Chesapeake, Virginia. This school offers a cardiovascular technology program that combines a number of cardiovascular areas including echocardiography and peripheral vascular technology. By enrolling in this program, you will also receive training in invasive cardiovascular technology, which allows you to work in a cardiac cath laboratory assisting a cardiologist in performing diagnostic and intervention procedures. According to the school's website, Sanford-Brown's program is designed to prepare students to perform the diagnostic ultrasound examinations required of a general sonographer to include, but not be limited to, the abdomen, pelvis, pregnant female pelvis and superficial structures.
