Fisher College is a small, independent college located in Boston's historic Back Bay neighborhood. Founded in 1903, the college has a full- and part-time enrollment of roughly 1,100 students. Founded in 1880, Emerson has a student population of nearly 4,300, and offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs that include marketing, visual and media arts, journalism and literature publishing. The college boasts a student to teacher ratio of 14 to 1, as well as a 90 percent freshman retention rate.
