To obtain the necessary licensure to work in the field of architecture, students must first graduate from an accredited architecture program. A number of colleges in the United States have the approval of the National Architectural Accrediting Board, preparing students for entry into the field through studio classes and coursework in engineering, mathematics and sciences.
