Established in 1990, the University of Bridgeport's College of Chiropractic in Connecticut was the first of its kind in the country. Upon graduation, students gain a Doctor of Chiropractic and are prepared for licensure in all states, as well as in foreign countries, after successfully passing an examination administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
The college's comprehensive curriculum includes courses in anatomy, clinical nutrition, physiology as well as a dozen other sciences. A majority of the program's graduates go on to open their own practices or work as associates alongside experienced chiropractors. The University of Bridgeport additionally offers a pre-chiropractic professional tract for undergraduate students.
