The Florida Colleges for Journalism

Studying journalism can help you learn important information about publishing literature, working in television, or being a Disk Jockey for a radio station in Florida. Florida has large public colleges and some small private liberal arts colleges for journalism. While a small campus might give you additional one-on-one time with teachers, some large campuses have opportunities that small campuses do not have.
  1. University of Florida

    • University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications offers students the opportunity to earn undergraduate degrees, Master's and Ph.D.'s in Journalism. The University often wins awards for its journalism department, and students can be offered the chance to study abroad. For instance, students could study documentary photojournalism in Berlin in 2010. The campus has an online newsmagazine and the campus Orange and Blue magazine that students can participate in to gain experience. The program is bettered by an advisory council of 20 professional journalists who evaluate its strengths and weaknesses.
