The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) certificate obtained from Lamar University comes through the school's MBA program. There is no GMAT requirement for participating in the ERP certificate program. Coursework focuses on integrating the various functional departments of an organization, such as marketing, supply chain management and customer relationship management, into an ERP-based work environment. Students must complete four of the six online courses currently offered to earn the certificate. Core courses are ERP E-commerce and ERP overview. Students also choose between a business intelligence or enterprise data mining course, plus take one of two supply chain management courses. Students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university to enter this certificate program.
The school encourages students who have completed three of the certificate program courses to also take the SAP ERP Academy course. This course leads to SAP associate certification. In order to receive certification in the ERP program, students must receive a 3.0 GPA in their four courses and earn a "C" or better in each class.
Lamar University's certificate in global and international studies is awarded to students in any B.S. or B.A. degree program who demonstrate foreign language proficiency and complete 12 hours of certificate coursework. The courses required to earn the certificate are tailored to a student's current major and core coursework.
The project management master's certification consists of 200 hours of study over a seven course curriculum. Classes can take as long as 10 weeks to complete or as little as 40 hours. The program seeks to enhance the knowledge of current project managers in the areas of tools, methodologies, techniques and implementation methods. Additionally, professionals seeking to enter the project management field, or professionals desiring to bridge education and experience, are encouraged to enter this program. Coursework includes classes in project management, communication, project negotiation, Cheetah project management and Microsoft (MS) Project. Students also complete a project management demonstration project.
