What Colleges Offer Programs in Exercise Science?

Exercise science involves the study of issues surrounding athletes and their sustained traumas.
The field involves researching the overall causes of an injury, and the methods used in preventing and caring for it once it occurs. The field is also referred to as sports medicine, and there are a number of colleges which offer the program. Generally, a college with a strong athletic presence is a telltale sign of the course of study being present, so this could be an indicator when seeking out the program.
  1. Michigan State University

    • Michigan State University offers both undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise science, in the Department of Kinesiology. Students will study both exercise science and education courses in preparation for becoming a physical education teacher. The graduate program focuses on a number of different areas, including physiology, sport psychology, sports administration, and coaching. Students may also prepare for fields in therapy. The program requires an internship before graduation, with a total of 80 hours earned for credit recognition.
