Students interested in taking their engineering education further will find a variety of graduate engineering degree programs available at Cornell University, including electrical engineering, systems engineering, engineering mechanics, aerospace engineering, biological and environmental engineering, chemical engineering and engineering management. Students in these programs complete a design project prior to graduation. While enrolled, graduate students may also participate in on-campus clubs such as the Engineering Student Council. Cornell also has a variety of engineering Ph.D. programs.
A bachelor's degree is required for admission, but it does not have to be in the field of engineering. Each master's program may require a different set of undergraduate coursework in the science and mathematics fields. There is no required grade point average, but Cornell reports that most students have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and a score of 1,250 on their SATs.
