Cornell University's Johnson School of Business offers a one-year accelerated MBA program. The Johnson School of Business was ranked as a top-20 (No. 18) business program by "U.S. News & World Report" in 2010. Cornell makes no distinction between its accelerated and more traditional MBA programs; students have the assurance that their accelerated MBA is of the same quality and national repute as the more traditional degree. Students entering the program generally have prior graduate school experience.
Cornell allows students to transfer up to 15 credit hours towards its 60 credit hour MBA degree. Students must take core courses in marketing management, managerial finance, organizational management and leadership, financial accounting, microeconomics, management statistics and strategy. Students also take a number of different elective courses and a management practicum as part of the program.

The Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona (UA) also offers an accelerated MBA degree program. The program at UA is nationally ranked by "U.S. News & World Report" (No. 55). The program is designed to last one year, including a summer pre-session prior to the start of the academic school year.
Courses are divided up into 10-week sessions and five blocks in which students take two courses per block. Areas covered include statistics, accounting, teams and ethics, operations management, strategy, information technology, economics, finance and marketing. Students do have the opportunity to step outside of the general management emphasis to pursue their own course of study with emphases in entrepreneurship, marketing, management information systems and finance.

Pepperdine University in Los Angeles, California, is a third option for an accelerated MBA degree. Pepperdine's Graziadio School of Business and Management was ranked No. 82 in the "U.S. News & World Report" rankings for 2010. Its accelerated MBA program has two options: a one-year program and a slightly longer 15-month program. The 12-month degree program requires 48 credit hours for completion, while the 15-month program requires 50.
Core courses in each program include a number of different areas such as management communications, strategic management, financial accounting, quantitative business analysis, economic concepts, technology and operations management, personal development for leadership, informational resources and technology and managing within the legal, ethical and governmental environment.
