The two-year degree is an Associate of Arts, Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Science degree depending on the college attended and the specific business management concentration. These types of degrees are found at colleges and universities that have a graduate school. Commonly referred to as master's degrees or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, these degrees take the four years for the bachelor's degree, which is a prerequisite for the graduate degree, and add an additional year for the master's degree in business. This degree program generally requires an additional 30 credit hours in advanced courses in business management.

    Advanced Graduate Degree

    • Upon completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in business management, the student can choose to enter the advanced graduate degree program called the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA). This kind of business management degree is generally taken by those students seeking to enter the academic world as a business management professor; or by students intending to immediately enter executive level positions at companies or organizations. The DBA takes approximately three years to complete, and has an internship program which is required to provide practical business applications to the graduate student.
