The Best Colleges to Become a Investment Banker

If you are seeking a career in investment banking, your best bet for breaking into the industry is earning a Master of Business Administration degree. Many schools offer one or more specialization options within their degrees which allow you to focus on your specific field of interest. Getting into a good graduate school requires a four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Majoring in business is not essential, although it helps. Most MBA programs can be completed in two years, and many schools have accelerated programs.

    • The Booth School of Business at University of Chicago was established in 1898.In 2010, U.S. News & World Report rated this the second best business finance school in the United States. Booth has several MBA program options as well as a PhD program.     • New York University's Stern School of Business offers several degree options including a bachelor of science, full-time Masters of Business Administration, part-time MBA, executive MBA, and PhD. In 2010, Stern was rated third best business finance school in the United States. It has 306 total faculty.
