Small Virginia Colleges

Besides large universities, Virginia is home to a number of small colleges with enrollments of fewer than 1,000. These schools award degrees in a number of disciplines. Several degrees prepare graduates for occupations the U.S. Department of Labor predicts will be among the fastest growing in Virginia from 2006 through 2016. These include computer science, criminal justice, finance and environmental science.
