Performing Arts Colleges in Australia

Australia's performing arts colleges offer great diversity with their arts-related courses. Many Australians identify themselves as enthusiasts of the arts, so the Australian government stands steadfast in assisting arts organizations. In 2006, the government granted financial support to seven popular arts organizations to educate Aussies in performance functions such as dance, film, new media, theater and visual arts for ages two to 18 years as well as adult classes.
  1. Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts

    • A popular and successful performing arts institution in Australia since the 1980s, WAAPA enjoys a worldwide reputation for granting students an array of theatrical training and certifications. The academy executes up to 200 public performances annually, each performance displaying students' artistic intelligence in various performing fields. They perform on their own grounds and campus, but due to public clamor, they also perform outside the academy. Located in Perth, the campus also has its own public transportation service.
