The Division of Performing Arts at Seattle Pacific University offers bachelors degrees in drama and music as well as visual arts. Students receive a number of performance opportunities through the school, including performing plays and musicals or as part of choral, jazz or instrumental ensembles. These performances take place in a number of facilities including the E. E. Bach Theatre, the McKinley Studio Theatre and the McKinley Backstage Theatre. The university prides itself on allowing students outside the department to enrich their fields of study with performing arts courses. With close relationships with Seattle arts organizations, such as the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera, the university helps students acquire valuable career-building internships.

The fine arts department at Seattle University provides training in a number of performing arts areas. Students also have the option of either four years of study or an accelerated two-year program. The university features a state-of-the-art performance facility, the Jeanne Marie & Rhady Lee Center, which provides both space for art exhibits, a stage for performances and rehearsal rooms. The University of Washington's College of Arts & Sciences provides intense study in dance, drama and music. The department of drama features a bachelor of arts degree in drama, masters degrees in directing, acting or design, and doctorate degrees in theater history, theory and criticism.
