Trinity College offers two options for surgical technology students: an associate's degree or a certificate. The certificate plan consists of 40 semester credit-hours over the course of 10 months, while the associate's degree includes 40 semester and 22 general education credit-hours. The associate's degree can be completed over the course of four semesters and one summer session, though completion of the general education courses prior to entering the program can shorten the program time. The surgical technology program at Trinity College, which is based in Rock Island, Illinois but has a campus in Chicago, places an emphasis on transcultural health care concepts.
