    Concordia University Chicago

    • Established in 1864, Concordia University Chicago is a private liberal arts university that follows in traditions set forth by the Lutheran Church. With satellite sites throughout the metropolitan Chicago area, the university's main campus is in the Chicago suburb village of River Forest. Concordia's bachelor of arts program in law and justice is designed for students intending to pursue careers in law enforcement, corrections or law. The program combines typical political science, sociology and psychology courses, like constitutional law of civil liberties and sociology theory. Additionally, Concordia law and justice students are required to partake in an internship for credit. In the past, students have interned at county courts, probation departments and county jails, as well as area police departments.     • Founded in 1855, Eureka College is a private liberal arts college in the central Illinois city of Eureka. Today the college is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Housed within the college's social sciences and business division, the criminal justice/sociology baccalaureate major is ideal for those intending to pursue public service sector vocations or criminal justice careers.
