Respiratory Colleges in Chicago

The Illinois Department of Employment Security predicts that the demand for respiratory therapists in the state will increase by 25 percent from 2006 through 2016. To enter the field, students must graduate from an educational program approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. In Chicago, a small number of colleges carry the committee's approval and prepare students for careers in respiratory therapy through classroom coursework and clinical experiences.
