London is the capital of both England and the United Kingdom; according to the London Councils website, the London economy generated $452 billion in 2005, a figure that is expected to nearly double by 2020. This makes London the fourth largest city economy in the world. Senior executives from hundreds of European companies have ranked London No. 1 among cities for business 18 years in a row. For these reasons, a number of prestigious business colleges are in London.

    • London Business School's MBA program is ranked No. 1 in the Global MBA rankings for 2010, according to the "Financial Times" annual rankings. The school offers a number of master's and non-master's degrees in business, including the MBA, executive MBA and doctorate. The nearly 100 professors on the faculty educate more than 1,800 students per year from 130 countries. The school has partnerships with other business schools, including Hong Kong University Business School and Columbia Business School in New York.

    • London's Cass Business School in London's financial district is part of City University London. The school claims to attract leading doctoral candidates by being ranked one of the 10 best business and management research colleges in the UK. The Guardian University Guide 2010 ranked the undergraduate programs first in London and third in the UK for business.
