Nurse Aide Training Courses in the Syracuse Area

The New York State Department of Labor predicts that the demand for nursing aides and assistants in the state will increase by more than 25 percent from 2006 through 2016. To work in the field, prospective nurse aides must typically complete a post-secondary training course. A small number of schools and employers in the Syracuse, New York area offer such programs. These schools prepare students for licensure in New York as certified nursing assistants (CNA), and some courses are even paid for by the potential employers that offer the courses.

The nursing aide program at the Syracuse Educational Opportunity Center is free for individuals who meet certain income guidelines.
