Online Nurse's Aide Training

With the number of jobs for certified nurse aides, or CNAs, expected to grow 19 percent between 2008 and 2018 according the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, a number of different organizations and educational institutions offer online training for CNAs.
  1. Online Instruction

    • The fundamentals and skills a CNA needs are taught online through videos, lectures, notes and textbook readings. Flexible online schedules are ideal for individuals who seek a new career field, while managing the demands of a family or full-time job.

    Clinical Experience

    • All training programs require CNAs to complete their clinical experience in person even if they are registered in an online program. Some arrange for the clinical experience to be completed at a facility in the student's current city, while others require students to drive to a prearranged location.

    Cost

    • Each institution sets its own tuition and fee rate for an online nurse aide training course. For example, Hutchinson Community College charges $568, while We Care Online provides online training for CNAs at the price of $425.
