Founded in 1995, Corinthian Colleges owns three subsidiary institutions: Everest College, Heald College and Wyotech.     About Jonesboro

    • The city of Jonesboro was founded in 1823 as Leaksville. It was later renamed in 1845 by the townspeople to show their gratitude to its new namesake Colonel Samuel Goode Jones, an engineer who helped the city with its early development. Today, the city has a modest population of just over 3,800 people. The town has few major attractions, but its place in Civil War history makes it attractive to those interested in the history field. Battleground Park is one of two parks in the town. It commemorates the Battle of Jonesboro, one of the final battles of the American Civil War. The town also has several historic buildings, a downtown district and a Confederate cemetery.
