List of All Private Practical Nursing Schools in Minnesota

Though most of its schools for practical nursing are publicly funded, the state of Minnesota does have a few private practical nursing schools and private colleges that offer degrees. These schools are accredited and offer degrees ranging from the bachelor's level to the professional or doctorate level.
  1. Augsburg College

    • Augsburg College, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is one of the largest private colleges in Minnesota. The college offers three accredited practical nursing degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Master of Arts in Nursing (MAN) and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). Classes are held on the Minneapolis, Rochester and United Hospital campuses. The BSN degree requires completion of seven nursing courses. Both an associate-level nursing degree and a Registered Nurse license are prerequisites for the BSN. The MAN degree offers two educational tracks--Transcultural Nursing Community and Transformational Leadership & Management. The DNP degree is very selective and consists of mainly one-on-one research and clinical practice.
