Cincinnati Christian University opened in 1924 and is a nondenominational institution with a campus along Glenway Avenue. The school has accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In preparation for working as a minister, the college offers Bachelor of Science degrees in children's, preaching, urban, worship and youth ministries. Baccalaureate degrees are also granted in music, management, information technology, communications, child care and psychology. For adult students, the college offers part-time degree programs in a variety of fields. Master's programs in religion, counseling and divinity are also featured. Online courses are available in most programs.
Eligible students at Cincinnati Christian University can receive federal and state loans and grants, as well as institutional scholarships and work-study placements. The college features activities for students, including nine intercollegiate sports for men and women.
Freedom Bible College has a campus on Clough Pike in Cincinnati and a secondary location in Fairborn. The college has accreditation through the International Association of Distance Learning but does not have a license to grant degrees from any government agency. The interdenominational Christian school offers bachelor's programs in 15 areas, including hospital chaplaincy, Church history and world missions. The college also grants five master's and nine Doctor of Religious Research degrees, which it offers in place of Ph.D.s.

Among the bachelor's programs are seven degrees in ministerial education with specialties like Christian counseling and youth ministry. The school also grants associate's degrees.
