Southern New Hampshire Colleges

If you want to attend school in the southern New Hampshire region, you have several options. You can choose from vocational schools and community colleges, or apply to more prestigious institutions. Your choice may be based on how much you want to pay for tuition, as well as your intended career path.
  1. Southern New Hampshire University

    • This university has been providing degrees to students since 1963. The primary campus is in Manchester, although there are a significant number of students that attend online classes. The athletics program is ranked in the NCAA-Division II class of schools, and it fields teams in several sports as part of the Northeast-10 conference. There are certificate, degree and graduate programs available in a range of business, humanities and scientific disciplines.

    University of New Hampshire

    • The University of New Hampshire has a few campus locations scattered throughout southern New Hampshire. The primary campus is in Durham, a small city in the southeast portion of the State. The law campus is in Concord. At the University of New Hampshire, there are several colleges. There is a business school, applied science department, liberal arts school, health sciences and engineering program all existing under the larger name of the University of New Hampshire.

    Manchester Community College

    • South New Hampshire is also home to the Manchester Community College. This small college offers courses in business, arts, health and wellness, computer science, construction technologies and education. There is a mixture of associate degrees and certificate programs to choose from. Online learning options are also available.

    New Hampshire Institute of Art

    • This art college offers programs in painting, illustration, ceramics, photography and general arts education. Admissions to the NHIA differ somewhat from admissions to other colleges. The school takes a hands-on, person-by-person approach to admissions; it says it wants to get to know the artistic strengths and interests of their students before making a decision to admit someone to a Bachelor of Fine Arts program.
