List of Community Colleges in Orange County

Orange County offers several community colleges and community college districts with dozens of career programs taught by faculty with practical experience in their respective fields. A community college provides students with educational, vocational or technical training. Community college credits often transfer to other universities across California.
  1. Coast Community College District

    • Coast Community College District includes Coastline Community College, Golden West College and Orange Coast College. Together, this college district enrolls over 60,000 students each semester in more than 300 certificate and degree programs in the areas of student support services, community services, general education, and occupational and technical education.

    Fullerton College

    • Established in 1913, Fullerton College is a two-year public community college located in North Orange County. The school enrolls over 22,000 students across more than 90 associate degree programs and 160 certificate programs. Fullerton College transfers more students to California State University than any other community college and is an accredited "Hispanic Serving Institution" as defined by the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.

    Rancho Santiago Community College District

    • Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) is home to Santa Ana College---one of California's oldest colleges---and the new Santiago Canyon College. Together, the two colleges host more than 44,000 students and encompass 193 square miles---a quarter of Orange County's total area. RSCCD maintains nine program-related facilities, including the Criminal Justice Training Facility, the Digital Media Center, the Orange County Regional Fire Training Center and the Orange County Sheriff's Regional Training Academy.

    Saddleback College

    • With over 41,000 students, Saddleback College offers more than 300 associate degrees in 190 programs across several educational disciplines. The school is favorable among mature students; one third of the student body is over the age of 40. The Saddleback College Emeritus Institute provides courses in more than 30 disciplines designed for the adult population.
